Unit 14 Task 4

P7+D2

There are 2 ways to send a contact wirelessly from one phone to another and this is by higlighting the number once having typed it or by sending it through text.

Higlighting the contact number

  1. Save the persons number on your contact
  2. Type in your own number on the home screen
  3. Press on it for a couple of seconds
  4. When its higlighted tap on it and press option
  5. Once that is done your number is sent to a phone once youve selected wich one.
OR

Sending it through text

  1. Type a text to a person
  2. Type in your own number it will be higlighted so once the person recives it they can save it
  3. Type in their contact number
  4. Press sent and your number will come up on the message.

This is my witness statues, as ive sent this to my sister and brother.

Advantages and disadvantages its faster if you were to highlight the contact number rather than sending a text your less likely to make mistakes by doing this however even if texting the number to another person may be slower it makes it easier for you to still receive the persons number if your phone is not on you or dead.

I cant fault this phone except the fact that it might be annoying to use since its abnormally large in the hand.

Unit 14 Task 6

Impact on SOCIAL LIFE...

1) Males using mobiles phone for more than 4 houres a day can reduce sperm count. Increase the risk of brain cancer. Cause stress. Also as memory loss and tempoary confusion

2) The use of mobile phones can be abused through sexual abusive ways and imagry. Against targeted victims, illigal sexual images sent or recived, contact and relationship building together. And mostly exsploitation.

Impact on the LAW...

1) Laws are being broken whilst driving when a mobile phone is used. Using mobile phones whilst driving can increase thinking and reaction time and encourage concentration loss, wich can lead to accidents and even death.

2) Crimes can be encouraged through mobile phones for exsample through messaging of, riots, illigal content, crime-like-information you cant track because you dont know if or if not it is happening.

M3

The mechanism used to control implication like these are...

  1. Encryption wich includes spyware protection. And since mobile phones are targeted for improper uses, mobile phone manifactures are putting encryiption into all of their mobile phones to prevent hacking and a other things stated above.
  2. Anti-virus and Spam protection. A high percentage of e-mails consist of spam used for hacking, and most peiople dont even know its happening with the tings that are dailey being sent to their phone and goes unnoticed.
Training and general workplace policy

The purpose of training is to equip people with important skills,
the right attitude and knowlage to meet companies standard.
By investing in people through their training you can ensure they reach their
their full potential and focus their time on the needs of the organisation
while fulfilling their need for personal development and job satisfaction.

These are some of the general workplace policy amongst others....
  • Setting up new employees to ensure they feel comfortable and settles in
  • Inappropriate conduct to stop any violence and verbal abuse from happening
  • Office rules, like no drinking or eating near the computer amongst others.
  • Absences from work to ensure you come in for a certain amount of time over the year.

Unit 14 Task 5

P5

If the delivery guy has only £500 as a budget to use to purchase electronic devices to help improve the companys delivery service i think he should spend it on.....

Instead of having to drive around from one place to another to pass on information it makes sense to just buy a smartphone at a good price for exsample the latest Nokia range selling at £50 to help get information around. This is a much better solution wich saves time and money through petrol. If you cant reach the person you can turn to messeging wich can also come in handy.

Or you can invest your money on a great bargain tablet, not necceserely the exspensive range but one good enough to jot down information at record breaking time, and jot doown important information concerning delivery.

It might also be useful to buy a satnav wich is very importand finding your way around when delivering in and out of London. instead of having to use maps, wich waste time and money (finding the way round/petrol) But make sure to buy a good one whose maps are updated.

    • Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    • Memory: 4 GB
    • Hard drive: 500 GB
    • Battery life: Up to 8 hours battery life

If the photographer was to send a image from is new laptop wich coud be either one to the news desk it should be the  Packard bell since its the chapest budget laptop £449 with a good transitting speed of 5400 if he wanted to send the picture fast.

M2: But then again he could hav used a phone so taking pictures and sending the over ould happen a bit faster and mor diret it would also bee and chaper altnative and the reaciver would get the picture faster. I think he should chose samsung galaxy s2 since it has super fast broadband when you get it on contract rather than as a pay as you go phone and you can type/send numerouse phones at speed without it freezing but it isnt the cheapest alternative.

    Unit 14 Task 2

    P3

Mobile phones have protocols used to connect to other electric devices like laptops through the internet.

    Some exsamples could be:-

    Wireless application Protocol (WAP)
It is a technical standard to accsesing information on the internet wireless. WAP is a web browser. This is needed to accses the internet and things like Facebook or the news. It is a suit that allows other protocol equipment like GSM to work on the mobile phones.

    Bluetooth
Its a open wireless technology standard for exchanging data over short distances. This can be done using short waves lenght from an ISM band. This can create personal are networks (PAN). Its another altinative to data cables and can prevent synchronization and it can be used on any devices.

    Short message services (SMS)
This is short communication messeging between electric devices.

    Wifi
It is a famouse technology that allows electrical devices to exchange data wirelessly over a mobile or computer network wich comes whith highspeed broadband.

    GSM
One of the most sucssesful cellular systems, it uses narrow bands like TDMA wich allows 8 stimutainiouse calls on the same radio frequency.

    Infrared
Protocols for wireless infrared communication, the reason it is used beacuse it emits its own wave from one device to another transfering information between devices. Infrared could be found in devices like a USB stick.

Then again there are also protocols used when using a PC or a laptop for exsample:-

    HTTP
This is used to show how messages are formated and transmitted.

    NTP
Internet standar protocol that assures scynchzorisation to the millisecond of computer clocktime in a network of computers.

    M1

There is one main protocol that is used in electronic devices that keep data save and that would be an IP address. An ip addresss pin points wireless networks in an area, wich gets send to an authority to govern internet activity. They consist of 4 numbers and they are all unique wich makes it impossible for someone to use another one.

If you were to use sky broadband and their wiki only you can use it beacuse you know the password wich comes at the back of the sky box, and people who dont know the password cant.

Stateless wich allows sequence of internet accses, the programs keep track of accses this is another safemode.

There are also encypted codes wich is when infromation in encoded in such a way that evedroppers and hackers cant accses it but authorities can.

Encryption is the process of encoding messages and information in such a way that eavesdroppers or hackers cannot read it, but that authorized parties can. Like the person who enables it or put it there on the first place. In an encryption scheme, the message or information referred as plain text is encrypted using an encryption algorithm, turning it into an unreadable ciphertext.
