Tools used to make my website the program i used to make my website was macromedia dreamweaver MX 2004. i then created a folder and pages to save my images and pages which appeared on the the program for me to use. I then divided my pages to create a a layout using row i then created my button by going on insert, media and flash button and named them. I then wrote everything i needed to using text at the bottom in white and inserted image by clicking on insert and image. doing this i also inserted a header. On the film trailers page i inserted youtube video by going on utube clicking on the video and click on embed code html then control s went onto my page clicked on code view where the mouse flashed i paste the code in there using control v and saved it. i created my reviews by clicking on insert and form inserting a button and field. On the buy now page i inserted the paypal button by copying it form my spread sheet control s and pasting it on the code on my website embedding it with control v. On the actors page i linked an image to their autobiography on the internet by going on IMbd copying their URL and pasting it on link at the bottom linking it.

My website can be improved through accsesibility by making all the pages to link with another one creating shortcuts enabling the users to find what their looking for much quicker. Also since my website is so simple yet proffesional its easy to use and attractive to use. i could have added more functions so the website is more exciting to use but also create more freeway. I have tested everything out to make sure there are no errors. There could have been more links and navigation button to give the user more freeway and choices on the places they want to go on my website. I could have added more content to my last couple of stages to make it more interesting  checking against users requirment. My website could have more features based on different age groups to make my website attractive to all ages. It could have less white space to make it  look more abstracts and full to the eyes.

The screen shot tells you that they promise to respect your privacy on the internet. They promise not to disclose our personal information to anyone else. Also not to sell our information without the costumers permission. You have the opportunity of reciving offers once you register and beome a meber of asos this is only available once you tick the regular offers and updates when you register. Inform you about the cookies they use. They would enclose anomise statistics about the numbers of times visited requested by the investors.

There are many factors that affect the functionality of a website these are the user side factors and the server side factors.

For server side the functionality of website depend on the server your using for example Google chrome is considered faster that Firefox so website with loads more of the ram and and images as videos that come with it but it also depends on which device your using your server on for example if you were to open Firefox on your mobile phone rather than your PC or laptop it would load up a lot more slower. It also depends on web server capacity and how much it can manage and handle. it also depends on the website worth of bandwidth because with a low bandwidth not so many can view the website at the same time. It also depends on the execution performed before your web pages low. If you have a video or large image on your homepage this will get loaded first it can also varies on the files type they have been saved on, the most convenient place to save your content on is jpeg. 

For the user side factors that affect the functionality of your web page depends on the download speed it also depends where your using your internet on whether its on your PC or you mobile phone. Download speed comes with the server your on for example if your on sky your download speed is slower than when your with BT. BT have all the cables so they give more privilege to their costumers than their clients sky. It can also rely on your cache memory for example if you have a bigger cache memory this improves system speed when its storing instruction on running program's. The processor speed is one of the most important factor effecting the functionality of your PC performance for example if your PC has a fast processor the programs and the responses to programs and the internet are faster if your processor speed is slow so are the responses.

security risks

Viruses
they are easily picked up and can damage your program and you PC serverly in a short period of time. They copy themselves as they infect your computer. viruses are so harmful not only do they affect your computer and your programs and website but also they people who access your websites. It can cause your computer to crash or become unresponsive.

Hacking
Hacking is referred to as the re-programming of a system to function in ways not authorized by the owner. its also the ideas of your computer being modification to give the user the ability to access information that should have been unavailable to them. If yo own your own business it gives the hacker the ability to access your costumer details and fraud them by changing the prices. 

ID theft
id theft is a form of fraud which involves using another person’s identity in order to access resources, to claim benefits and make money. This is dangerous as people access these website thinking their secure when their not. It makes it easier for the thief to access information over the internet.

Firewall 
Firewall is part of a network that is used  to block unauthorized access. It is a device that is used to permit or deny network transmissions based on rules. When owning a web company or any other business it is important to have a hardware firewall  this could be in the form of a router as well as software firewall it’s important for you to have these when running a network of computers as it will help prevent the spread of virus throughout your network. So if one computer is to become infected it won’t spread to the rest.

SSL (secure socket layer)
provides communication security over the internet.  SSL encrypt sections of network connections above the transport layer using a keyed message authentication code for message reliability. For websites its important to have a certificate showing you are a secure website as customers are more likely to visit you and will feel at ease giving out there details. There is a process of what happens when a web browser connects to a secure website.

A website that stores users’ details, it will be legally required to comply with the Data Protection Act (DPA).  It is the main piece of legislation that watches over the protection personal data in the UK.Even though it doesn't mention privacy it is there to put this act in line with  with the Eu data protection directive of 1955 which required Member States to protect peoples rights and freedoms and their right to privacy to the processing of personal data. I think this is good because it protects people from identity theft and it makes the person who might the next day register with Asda feel a little bit better that someone will not try to fraud them.

There is different way in which a website moves information in communication for example through web 2.0. Web 2.0 is a site which allows users to interact with each other in a social media context for example blogs which are linked with website which allows you to leave a comment on a website.
I think this good because this is what sensible shoppers would like to see when buying a product see if the product is worth the price, but this also enables users to leave bad comments which can affects a buyer’s decision. Sometimes they want you to register to see perhaps your age, send you offers, keep tabs on your purchases but this is a disadvantage because through this they can send you spam.

A web application is an application that is accessed by users over a network such as the Internet or an intranet. It’s good because update and maintain a web application without having to install and distribute software’s to thousands of users and clients. This is good because then you getting your purchase updated automatically.
Cloud computing is where a web application for example blogger which is accessible by anybody you can safe anything like written text or images outside of your computer which is saved by the owner Google. This is good because it can’t crash on you and it never gets lost.

TCP/IP is a communication protocol used to connect hosts on the internet. It is one of the core protocols of the internet protocol suit. It complements the internet protocol IP which makes the entire internet suite TCP/IP. TCP provides reliable, ordered delivery of a stream of octecs from a programm on one computer to another
HTTP Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) widely used communication protocol, this is an example of what is used to layer a website. It defines how messages are formatted and transmitted and what action web servers and web browsers should follow when responding to various commands. For exsmaple when you enter you URL in your browser this sends an HTTP command to your web server commanding it to collect your requested web page.

HTTPS Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is a secure version of the Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (http). HTTPS allows secure ecommerce transactions, such as online banking. It ensures secure communication over a computer network. It is not a protocol itself its simply a result of layering  the HTTP on top of the SSL/TLS protocol this enables some of their security capabilities to HTTP ones. 

SMTP Simple Mail Transfer Protocol is an Internet standard for email transmission across Internet Protocol  networks. Whilst user devices use SMTP to send and receive messages, user client level just use SMTP only for sending messages to a email server for relying for receiving messages they rely on IMAP (Internet message access protocol) .
